How to Create a Windows 11 Bootable USB Drive Using Rufus

Prepare to install or repair Windows 11 by creating a bootable USB drive with the free Rufus app. Follow these easy steps to get started.
Step 1: Download Rufus Visit the official Rufus website and download the latest version of the app. It's a lightweight and free tool.
Step 2: Download Windows 11 ISO Go to the Microsoft website and download the Windows 11 ISO file.
Step 3: Insert USB Drive Insert a USB drive with at least 8GB of storage into your computer. Ensure there are no important files on it
Step 4: Open Rufus Launch the Rufus app on your computer. It may prompt you for administrative permissions; click Yes to proceed.
Step 5: Select USB Drive In Rufus, select your USB drive from the Device dropdown menu. Make sure you choose the correct drive to avoid data loss.
Step 6: Choose Windows 11 ISO Click on the SELECT button next to Boot selection and browse to the location where you saved the Windows 11 ISO file.
Step 7: Configure Rufus Settings Ensure the partition scheme is set to GPT and the target system is UEFI (non CSM).
Step 8: Start the Process Click START to begin creating the bootable USB drive. Rufus will warn you that all data on the USB drive will be erased. Click OK to confirm.
Step 9: Wait for Completion Rufus will now create the bootable USB drive. This process may take a few minutes. Once complete, you'll see a READY message.
Step 10: Safely Eject USB Drive Click Close in Rufus and safely eject your USB drive from the computer. Your Windows 11 bootable USB drive is now ready for use.
